Everything you need to know about our free educational webinar series on the psychology of investing in yourself.
In 2026, “investing in yourself” is no longer just about spending money on courses or books. It is a daily decision about where to direct limited time, how to restore energy after work, family responsibilities, or stress, and how to avoid feeling like a failure when another habit tracker is left empty.
The Conservation of Resources theory (COR theory, Hobfoll), the self-regulation model (Baumeister & Vohs), research on temporal discounting and present bias (2023–2026), and recent studies on burnout in self-improvement show that people often abandon self-development not because of laziness but because the brain interprets effort as a “loss” of time, comfort, or money.
Future benefits appear distant and uncertain. When current fatigue outweighs future rewards, the cycle repeats: attempt → failure → guilt → new attempt → new failure.
This project does not propose a “perfect system” or “10 habits of millionaires.” Instead, it explores why investing in yourself so often becomes a source of stress and how small, sustainable shifts can help redirect personal resources toward meaningful growth.
The project is strictly educational and does not promote any products, services, or commercial solutions. This project does not promote any self-development courses, coaching programs, habit trackers, productivity apps, financial planning tools, or commercial applications.
The webinar is provided for educational purposes only. The invited expert participates as a guest contributor.
